Park (Home of James Mosher Baseball)Updated Tuesday November 14, 2017 by James Mosher Baseball.
On Wednesday, November 15, 2017 The Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation along with Baltimore Gas & Electric Co., which is celebrating it's 200 year anniversary, will have a ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of the new Eddie Murray Field at BGE park (Home of James Mosher Baseball). The $1.5 million project reflects the work of many partners in the community to include BGE, The Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, Ollie's, Bon Secours Hospital, Under Armour, the State of Maryland and James Mosher Asssociates Inc. The new field was the vision of Mr. Calvin Butler, who is CEO of Baltimore Gas and Electric. Eddie Murray nicknamed "Steady Eddie" is a former first baseman for the Baltimore Orioles and is fourth in team history in both games played and hits. James Mosher Baseball is believed to be the oldest continuously operating African-American youth leagues in the country. Opening Day for the league will be April 21, 2018 featuring the JMA Champions for 2017, the Yankees, facing the National League Champions, the Pirates. James Mosher will be opening it's 59th season in 2018. Congratulations and hats off to all those who have worked so hard to make this a reality.
